IMDb profile

Latin Lover is a TV soap-opera joint production between Venevisión (Venezuela), Iguana Producciones (Peru), and Playboy Entertainment Group (USA). It follows the fictional lives of actors in a soap opera, recording artists, and retail store employees. The show itself centres around the sex lives of the characters, and each episode has a number of softcore pornographic sex scenes. The plot generally revolves around the character Raphael, the director of the novella. With his broad shoulders, muscular physique, hairy chest and heroic libido Raphael is portrayed as an exceptionally masculine man whom women often find impossible to resist. Nonetheless his abundant appetites get him into much trouble as he, in turn, usually proves incapable of declining the sexual advances of the scheming, seductive women involved in the novella and the production company behind it — often yielding unfortunate or somewhat comical results.

As of March 18th, 2007, Latin Lover is broadcast in Canada by telelatino, dubbed into English.
