This article is about the Sunday morning US TV show. For the BBC4 show with Marcus Brigstocke, see
The Late Edition.
Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer is a Sunday talk show hosted by Wolf Blitzer on CNN and broadcast around the world by CNN International. It is the only national Sunday morning talk show exclusively on cable (as Fox News Sunday is primarily produced for Fox Broadcasting Company and replayed on Fox News Channel after the initial broadcast airing, as Meet the Press is on NBC and MSNBC). The show's slogan is The last word in Sunday talk and comments made on the show often feature in the following Monday's news headlines.
The show, launched in 1993, was previously hosted by Frank Sesno. Blitzer became moderator in 1998.
At two hours long, it is the longest of the national Sunday talk shows. Airing at 11:00 AM ET, the program is the last of the Sunday talk shows to air in most East Coast markets, hence the name "Late Edition." (Ironically, however, it is the first to air in the West Coast, at 8:00 AM PT, since its other broadcast network competitors (including Fox News Sunday) will air on same-day tape delay on the West Coast at various times).
