[edit] Congratulations
I see Ohio Wesleyan University is scheduled to be on the Main Page on May 18th (see here: Wikipedia:Today's featured article/May 2007)! Congratulations! Ruhrfisch 01:41, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for your hard work getting the article to featured status and now the Main Page. I am still waiting on my nominee (which is why I watch the queue). Take care, Ruhrfisch 03:58, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Congrats from me too.--A bit iffy 05:00, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Page protection policy
I have read somewhere that the Main Page feature article should not be protected, in keeping with the spirit of Wikipedia's freedom to edit. --A bit iffy 05:25, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- Protection is a last resort, as it restricts the expansion of the encyclopedia, but unfortunately the high volume of vandalism the Main Page received pre-protection was so high, complete restriction of editing to all but sysops is an unfortunate sacrifice to keep our welcome mat free of profanity ~ Anthony 10:43, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- I was offline for several hours - looks like you got answers to your question about protection. I will note that whenever an article is on the Main Page, lots of editors watch it to revert vandalism asap. Admins will protect if it gets too bad, but that is rare und usually short term on the Min Page. I will keep an eye on it as I am able too. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 11:40, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Delaware Gazette press inquiry
i'm not sure if i've sent this already or not -- i am having difficulty ascertaining whether or not my messages are posting.
my name is andrew tobias and i'm an intern at the delaware gazette -- i was hoping to feature the OWU wikiproject in an article i'm developing.
i was hoping you could take the time to speak to me sometime today or tomorrow, although i recognize this is a somewhat undependable method through which to try and contact you.
my email is atobias@delgazette.com
thanks, -andrewXwoodandwater 17:43, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Methodist Colleges tp box
I notice you participated in a prior discussion on the Template talk page for Methodist Colleges. I just posted this on the talk page and hope that you could return.
I discovered two sources listing Methodist colleges and universities the first is the International Association of Methodist-related Schools, Colleges, and Universities (IAMSCU) founded in 1991 which describes its members as Methodist-related schools, colleges, and universities and those with a Methodist tradition from throughout the world. the other is the directory of untied methodist related colleges, from The Untied Methodist Church in the US. Both are from the General Board of Higher Education websites:
From these sources this template seems pretty accurate, however it is missing several universities
- Both the University of Puget Sound and Duke University are listed and the last elections for board of Directors are January 25, 2007 see here so this list seems pretty up to date, any objections to adding them back to the template?
- thank you Astuishin 18:20, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
