Lasse Pirjetä

Lasse Pirjetä (born April 4, 1974 in Oulu, Finland) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward. He was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets as their fifth-round pick, #133 overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, currently plays for Pelicans in the Finnish SM-liiga.

Pirjetä has represented several teams in the Finnish SM-liiga, Frölunda HC in the Swedish Elitserien and the Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL.

After starting the 2005–06 NHL season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, he was sent down to the Penguins' AHL team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, and on January 20, Pirjetä returned to Europe to play for the Kloten Flyers in the Swiss Nationalliga A.
