LaShawn Daniels

LaShawn Ameen Daniels is an American songwriter, best known for his work with longtime colleague Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. Daniels has written several of the Darkchild Team's hit songs, among them "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy & Monica, "Say My Name" and "Lose My Breath" by Destiny's Child, "It's Not Right (But It's Okay)" by Whitney Houston, "Tell Me" by Melanie B and "If You Had My Love" by Jennifer Lopez. He is also a talented vocal producer, arranging most of the vocals on almost all songs he has been involved in writing.

Most recently Daniels appeared in an episode of the ABC/MTV reality television series Making The Band 3 where he instructed Aundrea on how to complete a difficult vocal. He also lent vocal production to the current single of Beyoncé Knowles "Deja Vu".
