[edit] This article is very poorly written

This article is rife with poor grammar, poor phrasing, and cliches and needs a lot of improvement. Please do not revert edits which improve the encyclopedic tone of this article, for example, reverting "died" to read "passed on." This is an encyclopedia, not an afternoon tea, and "passed on" is not encylopedic in tone. 68.45.106.216 02:04, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I see now that Larry West himself is the one performing these edits. Again, this is an encyclopedia, not your personal vanity page. 68.45.106.216 12:46, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I highly recommend that if you feel that the article is poorly written that you assist in cleaning it up. Also, I wouldn't be shocked if the reason it said "passed on" simply since the guy is still alive and, more likely than not, does read this from time to time. Although your comment is duly noted and makes sense. 69.249.228.69 (talk) 01:29, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
I did attempt to clean it up and Larry reverted my corrections to the previous grammatically incorrect and/or non-encyclopedic phrases. He's still doing that, for example on November 8th he reverted the correct "Philadelphians should do more to recycle" to the incorrect "Philadelphian's should do more to recycle." I suspect this IP address is Larry considering that you share Larry's inability at writing proper English--you mentioned "Micheal" (sic) Nutter and included an unsourced opinion that "Larry considers the result a success." I'm not going to waste my time trying to improve the writing on somebody's vanity page when he's just going to revert it back to his poor phraseology. 68.45.106.216 (talk) 19:15, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
No basis in truth, would rather see the article cleaned-up instead. LuvataciousSkull (talk) 00:52, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Wrong. You incorrectly used the adjective "Philadelphian's" where the plural noun "Philadelphians" was correct, and I fixed it for you:

You then reverted my change back to the incorrect "Philadelphian's"

There were other corrections of mine you reverted as well. I would like 69.249.228.69 to explain to me how I'm supposed to "assist in cleaning the article up" when my grammar corrections are reverted.68.45.106.216 (talk) 11:11, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Why not just re-correct it then? I didn't know that, it's good to know. Don't be so sore about this, just help instead. :) LuvataciousSkull (talk) 14:12, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
