"Historian"? As a scholarly activity, there is an expectation of some amount of original research or analysis. Writing history makes one a "history writer", which is different. Stan 17:28, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

"History writer is a better title, but I think the difference is small enough that a new category shouldn't be created for it. In the article itself, though, he should be referred to as a "history writer".P.L.A.R. 22:12, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
