[edit] Rated B-class
As you've noticed, I have rated this article after seeing the request in WikiProject biography. I just wanted to leave some comments to justify my rating.
This article definitely shows time and effort - so good job to the main editors. However, I feel this article, like all articles, has room for improvement. I rated it B-class because I felt it was well-researched and definitely slightly better than most start-class articles, but to be honest it was a tough call. While I feel this article is generally well-written and researched, it had some significant information gaps. Also, the information currently researched could be organized better. Nevertheless, I would still like to once again commend the work that has been done thus far. Keep in mind that while I am focusing on the criticism, there are positive aspects that for time sake I won't comment upon.
Here are some of my main suggestions for the article (not an exhaustive list - just some things I feel should be attended to right away) --
- Reference to Larissa Tudor - I feel that the use of "Tudor" or "she" is more appropriate than using her first name, "Larissa," as the article does
- Better organization of biographical information - there is an entire section on marriage, illness, and death. I would suggest dividing her biography into different sections so that it is more useful to readers
- Prose is already good quality, but could be embellished upon
- More info is required on her early life - if there is little info available, mention that
- Titles of some of the sections should be edited - rather than "Was she Grand Duchess Tatiana?", a better title would be "Controversy" or something along those lines, except more specific
- The ? at the beginning looks rather unattractive, just in my personal opinion - I think just simply putting (died July 18, 1926)
If anyone has any questions about my comments or rating, please feel free to leave a note on my talk page. Good luck, keep working on it, and happy editing!

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Larissacloseup.jpg
Image:Larissacloseup.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
