Talk:Larchmont, Los Angeles, California
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Before I start editing the Larchmont Village California page, I'm here to discuss, with whomever created it a few concerns I have.
The wording is backwards at the very beginning of the article. The name (on signboards placed around by the City of LA) is Larchmont Village. The alternative name is Larchmont or Larchmont Boulevard.
"Commercial heart" is too grandiose for me, because it's the only commercial street in the Hancock Park/Windsor Square area. Vine/Rossmore has no business until you reach Melrose, 3rd until you get to Western or (almost) La Brea, etc.
"it is commonly thought of as a distinct and separate district, a dividing line" isn't even descriptive of what the author is saying. Yikes!!!
Moreover, the Larchmont Boulevard Association maintains a website. This page has no link it, even; much less than any of the business along the Boulevard.
And all the foregoing is just a beginning. Mark Preston 02:14, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
