Lars Jamel Tate (born February 2, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana), is a former professional American football player who was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2nd round of the 1988 NFL Draft. A 6'2", 215-lb. running back from the University of Georgia, Tate played in 3 NFL seasons from 1988 to 1990. Tate led the Bucs in rushing during the 1988 and 1989 seasons.
