Larry Mellon

William Larimer (Larry) Mellon (June 26, 1910 - 1989) was an American philanthropist. The son of financier William Larimer Mellon Sr., he was inspired by the life and philosophy of Albert Schweitzer to study medicine at Tulane University, and later to found the Hopital Albert Schweitzer Haiti in 1953, in Deschapelles, Haiti.
He was married to Gwen Grant Mellon.
