The Laredo Broncos are a baseball team in the independent United League and Texas Winter League. The Laredo Broncos plays its home games at Veterans Field, while its new state of the art baseball complex is built near the Laredo Entertainment Center[1]. They are based in Laredo, Texas and were founded in 2005. In their first season, after a disappointing 5-15 start, the Broncos earned respect by having a winning record down the stretch and winning 11 of their last 16 games, making a trip to the playoffs where they pushed the first place Edinburg Coyotes to their limit before being eliminated. The Broncos play at Veterans Field, which seats 3,200. All Texas Winter League games are played at Harlingen Field, which seats 4,500. The General Manager and architect of the Laredo Broncos is native Laredoean José Meléndez.
