Lardpony are a 4-piece indie-pop band from Derby, UK. They released their first album, This Is Lardcore, on 17th April 2006. It received airplay on BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank's show[1]. A second album, The Greatest Invention Ever, was released on 16th April 2007, and received further Radio 1 airplay, this time from Huw Stephens [2] [3].

The band completed a short tour in 2006 and have supported the likes of The Research, Mates of State, Boyracer, data Panik, Mirah, Milky Wimpshake, Chikinki and Yumi Yumi[4].

In 2004, bassist Dave Williams (also of Plans & Apologies) left the band and was replaced by Nathan Wilson. The band are currently on hiatus, due to keyboard player Mandy McKirdy expecting her first child in September 2007.
