Larche Communications is a Canadian media company, which currently owns two radio stations, and has license approval to launch two more, in the province of Ontario.
Based in Midland, the company currently operates CICZ in Midland and CICX in Orillia. CICX was acquired by the company in 2007 in a swap with Rogers Communications, acquiring the station in exchange for the former Larche property CIKZ in Waterloo.
Larche's application for a new radio station in Greater Sudbury was also approved by the CRTC on July 12, 2007. This station, CICS, has yet to launch.[1] On May 9, 2008, the company was also given CRTC authorization to launch a rock-formatted station in Owen Sound on 92.3 FM.[2]
The company is named for its president, Paul Larche.
