Lara Sacher (English pronunciation similar to Sasher) (born 2 November 1986) is an Australian actress who played Serena Bishop on the Australian soap opera Neighbours from 2003 to 2005, when the character went missing (presumed dead) after a plane crash along with her mother, Liljana (Marcella Russo) and father, David (Kevin Harrington). She also appeared in the children's show Noah and Saskia playing the character of Claire, where she would meet Hannah Greenwood, who would later play Teresa Cammeniti on Neighbours.
When she was very young, at the most 3 years old, Lara appeared in a Banana Advertisement on the TV. Ten years later the cast from the ad had a reunion and Lara appeared with her name on the screen. Not long after this, she fell from a bike and broke both her wrists, spending several weeks in casts. She later commented that this was "hellish...embarrassing and painful"
Since leaving Neighbours, Lara has appeared as a female rocker in a television advertisement for the Nestle chocolate bar Aero. She appeared in pantomime in the UK at Christmas 2006, at Lyceum Theatre, Crewe, Cheshire in Beauty and the Beast.
Away from acting, she has started her own drama school "The Lara Sacher School of Drama" in Malvern, Melbourne for kids aged between six and fourteen. She is currently at Monash University in Melbourne. She has expressed interest to fans that she wishes to begin a singing career.
