[edit] Early Life

Lara was four when her parents took her to see a stage production. She reportedly became so enthralled she refused to leave the theatre after the play's conclusion.[1] Since then she has remained infatuated with acting, earning her first stage role at the age of seven in a minor part as the lamb in a Kidz for Kidz production of Charlotte's Web and later singing and dancing in Babes in Toyland for the People's Playhouse. It was not until being chosen as Young Eponine in Les Miserables for Cameron Mackintosh's 10th Anniversary presentation of the classic in Melbourne, that things began to look bright.

[edit] The Saddle Club

She was cast in The Saddle Club (a joint production between Crawfords Television production house and Protocol Entertainment of Canada, broadcast on Discovery Kids from 2001 until 2007 when it moved to PBS Kids), a television series based on a series of books written by Bonnie Bryant. First shown in 2001, the show, which has enjoyed significant success, was renewed for a second and third season, during which time it added various new characters and dilemmas for the girls to interact with and overcome. The show has earned much of its international success from its ability to draw in a fan base with a diverse age range. During the show's sporadic run, Lara has released four albums with her co-stars under the name The Saddle Club, all of which have made the Australian charts with two earning "Gold" status. A number of singles have been released under the same name, with notable hits.

[edit] Sydney Royal Easter Show

Lara and other cast members performed The Saddle Club Arena Show on horseback during the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2004 at the Sydney SuperDome[2] to crowds of over 7000. It was said that many eager fans were unable to obtain tickets for the performance due to its overwhelming popularity.

[edit] Personal Life

Lara has stated in interviews that she idolizes Nicole Kidman and hopes to achieve some level of success as an actress or entertainer. She also formed a band in high school, Toorak College, with herself as the lead singer. She has received prizes for sewing at the Red Hill Show, is a member of her school's choir, and is quite talented at cross country skiing. She also has two dogs, Elvis and Priscella, and a pet guinea pig named Twinkle Toes and she had a little sister called owal who is 11.

[edit] Quotes

When asked if she ever gets nervous before performing on stage she said, "The first time I fainted. After that I was fine."

"Stay true to yourself."

"The (horse) wranglers can do anything with the horses and they're just amazing with the horses 'cause they can make them do anything and the horses listen to them."
