I'm skeptical of some of the current edit. Although I'm far from experienced on the matter, so I'll bring it up here in lieu of editing. With my experience for reference. Not uncommon for orgasm to occur? From what I've heard it rarely happens (even with heavy grinding). Hasn't happened to myself. I mean if someone ejaculates after a few minutes of clothed grinding it may indicate a premature ejaculation problem (or a really talented/scandalous dancer, I dunno).

I had 2 private dance songs during a bachelor party (first time to a gentlemen's club). Lady initiated some small-talk hand/leg contact to get my interest and ask if I wanted a private dance. Led me by the hand back the private room where I paid a gentlemen at the entrance and he then gave her a share. The girl waited until the song in progress was over before starting the dance (so I would get my full songs worth). In the meantime we sat in the big chair with her legs over me and did some more chit-chat.

There was the initial stripping between my spread legs; some erotic dancing; lots of rear grinding (heavy contact) on my semi/erection and inner legs; some (light contact) humping with the lady lying backwards across me with a nice close view of her butt, with her provocatively looking back at me and slapping her rump; a couple times breast slapping my face and lighter brushing of her chest area against my face. When she did the lighter brushing, her nipples were at one point nearly in my mouth. I kept my hands to the side (didn't touch her), but barely controlled an impulse to (lightly) caress her after the butt slapping/give it to me look. Maybe I could have (done some minor touching, non-erogenous), but I didn't know what was acceptable and assumed the look was to spark my fantasy. So I kept it safely respectful.

After the first dance she asked if I wanted another since I was loosening up (as it's surely customary for them to ask in some matter). I accepted. When it was over I complimented her (cleanly) and got a hug and kiss on the side of my face. Was quite enjoyable. As much for admiring the gal's figure up close as for the body contact. Sweet girl too. I realize she was doing her job, but she was very comforting/honest about things. Some bills fell out of my shirt during the dance which she alerted me and handed me the money. Gave her a decent tip, but in retrospect I think I should have given more (being my first time, had little idea how much was customary to tip). She also stopped by my table later and chatted with me a little more. Made a good drink recommendation. Wits 22:10, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Is this an encyclopedia, or Penthouse Letters? I actually admit I was somewhat titlillated by reading your prurient erotica. 66.108.4.183 01:57, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
I enjoyed it, and I must say I found it relevant. Mcavic 05:33, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Origin of lap dancing

The article states that lap dancing originated (at least in its current form) in 1980 San Francisco. I know from personal experience that it was being practiced in Florida in 1978. Larry660 17:51, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Disagreements

The article states that the dancers are naked during the lap dance and that depends on the club. A lot of clubs are topless and more than a few a "bikini" bars where the dancers are fully clothed (albeit with lingerie or a bikini). I edited the article accordingly.

The article also states that it is not "uncommon" for customers to achieve orgasm and in my experience just the opposite is true. The intent of a lap dance is not to arouse a customer to sexual orgasm as that would imply prostitution and would be illegal in most jurisdictions. IMO that particular sentence should be deleted. nathanhubbard 01:00, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Used condoms are frequently found in the bathrooms? Questionable and irrelevant. I say remove that, too. Tebucky

I'd disagree with the orgasm thing, because it does happen (although perhaps not known to the dancer). At any rate, I'm not sure why that particular bit of information is needed?

[edit] Lap Dancing in the UK

Just to say that the so-called lap dancing clubs in the UK are strictly non contact. We have a saying here: 'no sex we're British'. Colin4C 19:39, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moral Issues

I see discussion of "legal issues" and "labour issues". What, in the name of all that is good and Holy, about MORAL ISSUES????Mgr.James Horan Decd. 12:41, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Patron

Why is the customer referred to as patron, even wikilinked? // habj 14:18, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] VIP

nobody ever mentioned the VIP areas in strip clubs. they are quite nice. i've been back to them several times. nothing out of the way goes on except heavy grinding, caressing, and kissing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marshallfan (talkcontribs) 21:59, August 25, 2007 (UTC)
