Talk:LAPD: Life On the Beat

[edit] POV

This is POV: Officer Jeff Alley played a huge roll by making sure that the TV crews always had a deeper understanding of what was really going on. He didn't play up the camera but instead took the great opportunity to educate those in TV land about police work with pros and cons of situations and allowed those with an interest in law enforcement to have a better understanding about the job. Officer Alley along with the Colomeys and O'Donnell were some of LAPD's greatest recruiters. Even though I haven't watched the show more than a couple of times, as a casual reader I thought that this was vandilism. Realising that it was POV, I added a warning. If someone would either add verifying citations or correct and non-neutral statements, that would be great.C0N6R355 11:23, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

There's a whole load of POV in the recent additions and sadly not a single reference. I have removed some of obvious POV stuff but not having seen the series I can't say that the other is clearly wrong so I left it with {{cn}} tags to add to the already unreferenced nature of the entire article. You are of course welcome to remove material, or move it to the talk page for discussion and agreement before it is returned to the article. Rich257 12:29, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:LAPD-lifeonthebeat.jpg

Image:LAPD-lifeonthebeat.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
