Laochra Gael

Laochra Gael which means Gaelic hero in the Irish language is an Irish television programme. Now its seventh series the show profiles and celebrates some of the greatest names in Gaelic games since the 1940s. Each of the programmes contains interviews with the subject, archive footage of their exploits on the pitch and an assessment from GAA experts, friends, rivals and team-mates. Laoochra Gael is broadcast on the Irish language television station, TG4.
