LaOtto (sometimes also spelled as Laotto) is a small town in southeastern Noble County, Indiana. Located west of the current intersection of Indiana State Road 3 and Indiana State Road 205, it is 16 miles north of Fort Wayne and is also in close proximity to Kendallville and Auburn. Because of this, it is considered to be a bedroom community to these cities.
Originally having State Road 3 go through its town's limits, in 1990 a bypass and upgrade of State Road 3 was complete, and it now has a path just east of the town's limits.
[edit] Schools
LaOtto Elementary School is the only school in LaOtto, and is west of Old Indiana 3 on Indiana State Road 205. Its building was constructed in 1965 and is a K-5 institution that is part of the East Noble School Corporation. LaOtto's high school-aged students attend East Noble High School in Kendallville, Indiana. Middle school-aged students attend Avilla Middle School in nearby Avilla, Indiana.
LaOtto is also home of the LaOtto Malitia, Body Shop, and Shotgun Wedding Service. The town(hamlet) is supposedly headquarters for an organized crime syndicate.
LaOtto is also the boyhood home of former WXKE radio personality Adam Marshall.
