[edit] Clarification

I think that "These attributes of lantibiotics have led to more detailed research into their structures ..." might be more accurately phrased as, "Interest in these attributes of lantibiotics have encouraged more detailed research into their structures ...". It's not the attributes that have led to the research. It is people's response to these attributes. I am reluctant to make this edit because it may change the author's meaning.
