[edit] Why someone deleted "gorgeous"
The reason someone (and now me again) deleted "gorgeous" from the phrase "gorgeous, uncut penis" is that calling Lance's penis "gorgeous" is subjective and point of view. Some people, for whatever reason, may think only small penises, or penises belonging to Asian people, or whatever, are gorgeous. Even if you and ten million others think Lance's penis is gorgeous, it still is a subjective assessment, which violates Wikipedia's policy of NPOV. Moncrief 04:54, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Fair enough. The word "handsome" and accompanying phrase have been deleted too.
- You didn't need to delete the whole phrase. It is quite obviously OBJECTIVE that he was indeed blond, and that his penis was large (compared to the average length) and uncut (a physical state that is verifiable), but okay. Is it really that surprising that "gorgeous" is a subjective term? Moncrief 06:10, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Moncrief, I don't disagree with you that "gorgeous" is a subjective word. I wouldn't have had a problem with someone deleting the word if, when it was first deleted, the person had indicated why he or she was doing so (as you did when you deleted it the second time, which I appreciate). But if we're going to be consistent here and follow Wikipedia's rules, then the word "handsome" should be deleted as well. Leaving the phrase as "Blond with a smooth body and a large, uncut penis" would have sounded awkward to my ears. And since the pic clearly shows he was blond and had a smooth body, I felt it was simply better in the long run just to delete the entire phrase. I apologize for my comment of frustration when I initially did the edit. If you want to put it back in, go for it.Chpoof 08:15, 7 March 2006
[edit] Problem with penis size information
The information in this article is used as criterion for inclusion in the list at Human penis size#Men famous for their large penis as well as Category:Men with unusually large penis. Now, more than 50 names have been included, and there have been objections raised strong enough that both the list and the category are currently targeted for deletion. Placing this posting uniformly on the talk pages of the articles concerned, I would firstly encourage editors to make sure reliable sourcing is provided to support the claims regarding penis size. Secondly, editors might wish to involve themselves in the discussions taking place at Talk:Human penis size and Wikipedia:Categories for discussion. __meco 13:42, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
