Talk:Lancaster, Ohio

I'll soon be rewriting this article, and adding a personally-taken photo to be released into the public domain, in an effort to restore this article to an encyclopedic tone. Ender78 00:56, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
Just wondering where the image came from. Looks like it is a scan from a road atlas -- which alomst certainly would not be in the public domain. It will have to be removed if the image is covered by copyright protection. --maveric149
[edit] Lancaster is being recognized for its arts and artists
See www.lanfest.org for information about Lancaster's summer music festival.
A committee has recently been formed to look into the possibility of opening a Performing Arts Center in downtown Lancaster. It's hoped that an Opera House will bring music, dance and new jobs into Lancaster. See www.operahouse.myfreeforum.org for more information. 172.190.174.134 21:21, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Tsu Do Nimh
[edit] Mudhouse Mansion
While I'm a fan of the various legends connected with the house, Ohio and the nation at large are heavily dotted with such houses of legend, and I hardly think that it's truly "notable". Rather the equivalent of making a special section for each town's "Lover's Lane". I'll pause here for comments on this matter, and as such, I deleted this segment. 70.62.164.12 (talk) 02:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hawk's Tavern gets a paragraph...
but William Tecumseh Sherman gets two sentences? I guess we know where the priorities are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Csnoke (talk • contribs) 07:24, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Concur. Removed. For non-local editors, while the Taverne does have some minor historic significance as a building, this paragraph was fairly blatantly added as a plug for the bar now operating there. 70.62.164.12 (talk) 02:08, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
