Lanzada is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 100 km northeast of Milan and about 11 km north of Sondrio, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,445 and an area of 116.1 km².[1]

Lanzada borders the following municipalities: Caspoggio, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Chiuro, Montagna in Valtellina, Pontresina (Switzerland), Poschiavo (Switzerland), Samedan (Switzerland), Sils im Engadin/Segl (Switzerland).
