Lankapalli Agraharam is a village in Andhra Pradesh, India.
We do not have any historical evidence to prove how old this village is. There are old people in this village who can tell the major events starting 1800 AD. They claim that they got rhis information from their grandparents.
Lankapalli Agraharam is more popularly called Lankapalli. Lankapalli is connected by train, bus and air. The nearest train station is about 2 miles (3 km) west. Some local trains between Vijayawada and Gudiwada / Bhimavaram / Machilipatna stop at this station. Busses from Gannavaram to Vuyyur go via this village. Gannavaram airport is about 10 miles (20 km).
The total population of this village is about 600. Farming is the main source of this village. Farmers cultivate paddy for about 3 to 8 months and during the remaining time of the year lentils are grown. Sugarcane is also grown here.
The temperatures vary from 11 to 46 degrees Celsius. There are 2 major communities in this village Kamma and the other is mala. Kammas own more than 90% of the land. Lankapalli has a school started in 1939 AD. The village also has a ramalayam.
