Langen is a town in the district of Offenbach, Hesse, Germany. It is situated about 13 km south of Frankfurt am Main and has about 35.000 inhabitants. Langen is home to the head office of the Deutsche Flugsicherung and the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute.

The first locality was built in 500- 600 Ad by immigrants from Franconia. Langen was first mentioned 834 in the deed of donation of King Ludwig II to Lorsch Abbey.
