Landor Associates is a San Francisco-based brand and creative design consultancy. Founded by Walter Landor in 1941, Landor pioneered many of the research, design and consulting methodologies that are now standard in the branding industry.
Landor's work spans the full breadth of branding services, including but not limited to: brand research and valuation, brand positioning and architecture, naming and nomenclature systems, corporate identity and consumer packaging design, branded environments, writing and digital branding.
With 24 offices in 16 countries, Landor's current and past clients include such brands as British Airways, Varig, Pepsi, BP, FedEx, Frito-Lay, SGI, Levi's, Japan Airlines, Lucent, Procter & Gamble, Microsoft, Cathay Pacific, and LG Group.
In 1994, the Walter Landor/Landor Associates Collection, ca. 1930-1994 (official title) was established at the National Museum of American History. It includes business records and personal papers of Walter Landor, oral histories from an archives project, and Landor portfolio materials (including many original designer notebooks).
Landor is part of the media service company WPP Group PLC.
