Lancashire Oaks

The Lancashire Oaks is a Group 2 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for three-year-old and above thoroughbred fillies and mares. It is run over a distance of 1 mile 3 furlongs and 200 yards (2,396 m) at Haydock Park Racecourse in July.

From 1939 to 1963 the race was run at Manchester Racecourse over a distance of 1 mile 3 furlongs. There was no race in 1964 after the closure of Manchester and it was transferred to Haydock Park in 1965. From 1939 to 1990 it was restricted to three-year-old fillies only. The race was upgraded to Group 2 status in 2004.
