Lancanjiangosaurus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Lancanjiangosaurus" (meaning "Lancanjiang lizard", named after the Lancanjiang River of China) is the informal name given to an as yet undescribed genus of dinosaur from the Late Jurassic. It was a sauropod which lived in what is now Tibet. The type species, "L. cachuensis", was coined by Zhou in 1985, but remains a nomen nudum. "Lancanjiangosaurus" was probably similar to Cetiosaurus, a sauropod found in Europe and Africa. The fossils of "Lancanjiangosaurus" were found in Xizang (Tibet). As the name has been undescribed for so long, the remains may have been named something else by now.
