[edit] History
The airline was established in May 2003 and started operations on June 16, 2003. As of March 2004, LanChile and its subsidiaries LAN Peru, LAN Ecuador and LAN Dominicana, are known under the collective branding of LAN. LAN Airlines of Chile had a 49% stake in the LAN Dominicana.[1]
In April 2005 the 4M code was reassigned to Aero 2000, which was officially designated "dba Lan Argentina" in June 2005.
[edit] Services
LAN Dominicana currently has only one service route, the Santiago de Chile-Punta Cana-Santiago de Chile route operating twice a week. A Miami-Santo Domingo route was operated until June 2004.[citation needed] LAN continues to fly a Santiago (Chile)-Punta Cana-Miami route using a Boeing 767-300ER on Saturday and seasonally on Sunday
