This is a brief sound sample from a much longer interview first broadcast in Australia in 1980 by the Nine Network on free-to-air television.

Fair use is claimed because:

• it is a brief audio-only excerpt from a (much longer) broadcast which included video, and could not be used as a substitute for the original commercial recording or to recreate the original recording;
• it illustrates an educational article about a significant and widely-reported incident in Australian television history;
• the transcript (a mere 8 paragraphs) alone does not sufficiently convey the tenor of the broadcast;
