Actually, as this article is now, it should probably be split in two: one article for LAMU and one article for the LAMU ARHIPELAGO. Does anybody else have a view about this?
Also: About the inf. on the page that Lamu was a center for the slave trade: how accurate is that?? Zanzibar was, sure, but Lamu? According to Romero and others the slave trade there, I believe, was mostly for "domestic consumption", i.e. the main exports from Lamu was other goods (e.g. ivory, and later: mangrove poles.)
