Lamtuna

The Lamtuna are a Berber tribe from the region of Mauritania-Western Sahara-Morocco-Algeria. They claim descent from Himyar, one of the South Arabian eponyms.^{[citation needed]} The Almoravids, the founders of Marrakech in Morocco where they established their capital, originated from this tribe.^{[citation needed]}
