Lamar Middle School (Formerly Lamar Junior High) is a public middle school in Irving, Texas established in the IISD. It provides education material for students in grades 6 - 8 within the school's boundaries. The school was named in honor of Mirabeau B. Lamar who was the third president of the Republic of Texas. Lamar Middle School was designated as a Blue Ribbon School in 2000. [1]
