Lamar is a village in Chase County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 19 at the 2000 census.

Lamar is located at 40°34′21″N, 101°58′40″W (40.572451, -101.977822)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 19 people, 10 households, and 6 families residing in the village. The population density was 248.3 people per square mile (91.7/km²). There were 12 housing units at an average density of 156.8/sq mi (57.9/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 10.53% of the population.

There were 10 households out of which 30.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.0% were married couples living together, 10.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.0% were non-families. 40.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 30.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.90 and the average family size was 2.50.

In the village the population was spread out with 15.8% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 10.5% from 25 to 44, 42.1% from 45 to 64, and 26.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 50 years. For every 100 females there were 137.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $23,750, and the median income for a family was $28,750. Males had a median income of $25,625 versus $33,750 for females. The per capita income for the village was $14,463. There were no families and 12.5% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 50.0% of those over 64.
