[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Jamie Durie and Sami Lucas.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jamie Durie and Sami Lucas.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:14, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Indian cricket team in Australia in 2007-08, Second Test
Hi Lakeyboy. You have added an NPOV tag to Indian cricket team in Australia in 2007-08, Second Test. It would help in assuaging your concerns if you could leave them on the article talk page. Cheers, Mattinbgn\talk 10:42, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:2007 Qantas Logo.svg)
Thanks for uploading Image:2007 Qantas Logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:33, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Home_and_Away_Logo.gif
I have tagged Image:Home_and_Away_Logo.gif as a disputed use of non-free media, because there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please clarify your fair use rationale on the image description page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 12:19, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kath_&_Kim_at_Luna_Park.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Kath_&_Kim_at_Luna_Park.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 13:23, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Kath & Kim
A tag has been placed on Template:Kath & Kim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>tranclusionless</noinclude>).

[edit] Image:Puffing_Billy.PNG
I have tagged Image:Puffing_Billy.PNG as no rationale, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 17:32, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:The Twelfth Man - Wired World of Sports.png. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Daniel99091 (talk) 06:39, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Neighbours New Logo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Neighbours New Logo.png.
Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:05, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Map of Dingley Freeway.png
Hey i was just reading over the Dingley Freeway article and noticed the really good map you made for it, would it be possible to include the proposed northern extension of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway in your map? i think this would be a huge improvement to an already great map. --Dan027 (talk) 08:47, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Good idea. I have now updated the map with the proposed Mornington Peninsula Freeway to link up with the Dingley Freeway. I will also upload a new version with M7 route markers replacing the 11 markers when the conversion is finished. Thanks for commenting. I hope to make more for other road pages. I plan to make one for EastLink next. --Lakeyboy (talk) 10:14, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Nice catch
Nice catch with the upgrade mention Laverton railway station, Melbourne - I was going to do it when it was announced but forgot! I'll let you jump in with Westall first as well. ;-) Wongm (talk) 12:39, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well it was on my mind to update the Laverton station article but I didn't get around to it. I have now also added upgrade info to Westall and Craigieburn as well. --Lakeyboy (talk) 07:18, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] List of highways in Northern Territory - Which do you prefer?
I have edited the highways in importance of their highway status, and their route number. Little emphasis was put on street names, even if they were duplicated and hyperlinked on the same page. Apparently Bidgee has a problem with this, and I would like feedback on the talk page as to which looks smarter and easier to read.
Here are the options:
Option 1
OR
Option 2
Also view List of highways in Tasmania, and look at the National Route 1, Bass Highway, and A2 Bass Highway status to see that an emphasis was put on route numbers, as oppose to the name of the highway, as to which inspired me to change each Listing of highways in Australia, to this conventional format, as it is not only easier to read, but better to comprehend, and note the importance of the highways and their route markers. --Rom rulz424 (talk) 08:09, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

- Your suggestion to include this:
-
-
-
-
Route # Road name Stuart Highway
Victoria HighwayBarkly Highway Stuart Highway
-
-
-
-
- {| class="wikitable"
-
-

- Not a bad suggestion, however I just feel that adding so many tables, will limit the value of the page (i.e. presentation), and having numerous tables can be quite hard to comprehend. As I mentioned earlier, this was inspired by the Tasmanian format of their highway list done months ago, and felt that the boring list the rest of the highways had, needed to be upgraded bad. Personally, I like it the way it is, I only wished User:Bidgee would stop reverting, as you saw in Option 1 (above) that it can be quite difficult to establish what route belongs to what highway! --Rom rulz424 (talk) 08:52, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah, lets just sleep on it for now, and see what will come up. I may just simply revert Bidgee's revision in the coming days. Thanks for your help! It was greatly appreciated! --Rom rulz424 (talk) 09:21, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

- Can you stop trying pushing your opinion? I'm not the only person who has talked about having a highway listed twice when it shouldn't be for what reason? Route numbers can be put in with the highway rather listing the highway twice. I'm open for discussion but not opinion pushing. Bidgee (talk) 10:38, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

- I'm trying out an idea and I've also included Lakeboy's idea. If you can come up with something different you're free to add it on User:Bidgee/listofhighways. Bidgee (talk) 10:45, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:David Tench.png
Thanks for uploading Image:David Tench.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
The following images also have this problem:
