Talk:Lakeland, Florida
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I did some brief research to see why someone keeps bringing up "Chris Futrell" and "Matt Grothe." It seems the "Chris Futrell" and "Matt Grothe" mentions are a discussion of "notability." Grothe and Futrell both attended Lake Gibson and it seems both attend USF. Grothe an athlete in football and Futrell coaches cheerleading at the school. He may also have been a Lake Gibson athlete.
Is one sport more notable than the other? Have college freshmen had the time to become notable?
[edit] Schools
I think something needs to be done for the school info, it's like the entire article is being consumed by them. Just not sure what should be done, anybody have any ideas? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.92.16.204 (talk) 03:03, 11 April 2007 (UTC).
- It's true, the education section was getting out of hand, compared to the rest of the article. I made stubs for all the schools (the ones that didn't already exist), and wikilinked the lot. There, that looks better. :) --Ebyabe 15:51, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Britney Spears lived here for 2 years?
I pulled it out, as I did an exhaustive google search, and it contradicts her biography on two other sources (and I've seen her E! THS: Britney spears) and said nothing like this. The wikipedia page said britney auditioned in lakeland in 1993. Sentriclecub (talk) 20:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
