Talk:Lake Orion High School

[edit] Assessment Advice
Per a request, I have made a more thorough evaluation of this article and I have the following suggestions to make:
- Ideally, you should use as many external references (Those not controlled or associated with the school) as possible. The larger the publication, the better.
- Every factual statement about the school needs to be verifiable, and for contentious facts like "suitable for state-level competitions" or "The first building to house Lake Orion students was built in 1893" there need to be direct citations inline (See WP:CITE).
- You need references in order to claim alumni as having gone to the school and to prove their notability.
- Remove wikilinks to common english words and numbers such as: library, computer, 1927, Fall, grass, etc...
- Replace weasle phrases like "one of the finest", and "commonly referred to". Whenever possible state facts, don't preface or overemphasize.
- The whole piece needs to be formalized (including the removal of parenthetical asides) per WP:TONE.
- The activities section needs to be reworked so that it is more uniform and does not emphasize any single specific aspect of the school. All of the clubs should have writeups or none of them should. Otherwise it shows WP:POV.
Hope that helps, Let me know if you need more help or information. Adam McCormick (talk) 01:23, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
