[edit] "Directory Stuff Reverted"

Hi Orderinchaos,

I am pretty new here. Can you please explain why these sections were deleted:

Facilities
Activities
Chidlow Craft Market
Opening Hours
Location
Admission Prices
Pet Restrictions
External links

You have also removed the photo and other factual information such as the "dam holds approximately 520 million litres of water".

Is this not useful information? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ozneil (talkcontribs) 05:03, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Orderinchaos is busy in real life at the moment; I'll try to answer for him. Basically, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and we try to ensure we maintain encyclopedic content and encyclopedic tone. Articles that read like a how-to guide, or a travel guide, or a program guide, or a directory listing, or a sales catalogue, or anything else other than an encyclopedia, tend to get pruned. There's more information on this at Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not.
I suggest you restore the information in a single "Facilities" section, leaving out the phone numbers and whatnot. In fact, give me five minutes and I'll have a crack at it myself.
