Lakota (club)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lakota is a nightclub situated off Stokes Croft, Bristol. The building is the only remaining part of the Stokes Croft Brewery, and is part of the Stokes Croft Conservation Area [1]. It is considered to be a 'local landmark' by the Bristol City Council [2], and was "once deemed in the early nineties as one of the most famous clubs in the country outside London" [3].
In April 2007 Prince Harry was reported to have visited the club[4].
Lakota gained publicity again in March 2008 when plans were announced to demolish the club and nearby Clockwork[5].
