Pantelis "Lakis" Nikolaou is a retired Greek football defender.

He played mainly for AEK Athens forming a powerful defending duo with Petros Ravousis.

He made his debut for Greece on September 8, 1973 and played a total of 15 games. He was a participant at the 1980 UEFA European Football Championship.

Lakis studied medicine while still being a professional footballer and managed to become a successful medicine professor and surgeon (with speciality in orthopedics). He later became doctor of AEK Athens and now of Olympiakos On October 13, 1997 he became AEK Athens' thirty fifth president, serving from 1997 until 1998.
