Lakeland Village is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 5,626 at the 2000 census.

Lakeland Village is located at 33°38′17″N, 117°20′55″W (33.638178, -117.348719)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.1 km²), of which, 2.3 square miles (6.0 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (1.71%) is water.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 5,626 people, 1,966 households, and 1,338 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,439.8 people per square mile (940.4/km²). There were 2,185 housing units at an average density of 947.6/sq mi (365.2/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 79.01% White, 1.78% African American, 1.64% Native American, 0.98% Asian, 0.09% Pacific Islander, 12.71% from other races, and 3.80% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 30.98% of the population.

There were 1,966 households out of which 38.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.9% were married couples living together, 11.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.9% were non-families. 23.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.86 and the average family size was 3.42.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 30.9% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 31.4% from 25 to 44, 20.0% from 45 to 64, and 9.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 103.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.2 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $34,136, and the median income for a family was $36,528. Males had a median income of $31,634 versus $26,356 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $14,922. About 14.3% of families and 16.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 19.2% of those under age 18 and 10.8% of those age 65 or over.

In the state legislature Lakeland Village is located in the 36th and 37th Senate Districts, represented by Republicans Dennis Hollingsworth and Jim Battin respectively, and in the 66th Assembly District, represented by Republican Kevin Jeffries. Federally, Lakeland Village is located in California's 49th congressional district, which has a Cook PVI of R +10[3] and is represented by Republican Darrell Issa.
