The Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center is a free-admission museum located near the Aerial Lift Bridge in Duluth, MN. Donations are appreciated, but all visitors are welcome to visit this museum without paying.

Some exhibits demonstrate the history and operations of upper lakes commercial shipping and the Aerial Lift Bridge. Three replica cabins and a pilothouse from typical ships are also contained in the museum. A three-story steam engine, 50 scale models and lots of interactive displays are available for visitors to explore.

1,000-foot freighters pass within 200 feet of the building underneath the Aerial Lift Bridge, which lifts up to allow them to pass through.[1]
