Lake Manych-Gudilo (Russian: Маныч-Гудило) is a large saltwater lake in Kalmykia, Russia. Part of the lake lies also in Rostov Oblast and Stavropol Krai. It has an area of about 344 km² and average depth of only about 0.6 m. It flows into the Sea of Azov, and the river ends near Rostov-na-Donu. If global sea levels were to rise roughly 25 metres, water may pour in from the ocean into the area near this lake, and unless dams are built, water may flow in and fill the Caspian Sea.[1]
