Lake Howell High School is a comprehensive four-year high school located in Central Florida, USA. Home of the Silver Hawks, it has been designated a "B" High School by the Florida Department of Education due to its focused curriculum. It was previously an "A" high school in 2006.

The school is actually geographically located within Seminole County, near Winter Springs and Oviedo, despite its mailing address of Winter Park, Florida, which is in Orange County.

Opened in 1975, Lake Howell High has been remodeled several times over its three decade history, the last major remodeling occurring in the late 1990s.

[edit] Lake Howell Theater Company

Lake Howell High School is also home to the award-winning Lake Howell Theater Company. The sponsor is Mr. James Brendlinger (former teacher of the year winner), who produces all of the shows done by the company. The Lake Howell Theater Company also is home to the comedy troupe "Bad Medicine", which started within the company some years ago.

The band program, led by Director Mr. Todd Leighton, includes many ensembles including the Silver Regiment Marching Band, the Lake Howell Holiday Band, and the Lake Howell Jazz Band.
