Laguna Beach is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bay County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,909 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.7 square miles (7.0 km²), of which, 2.6 square miles (6.6 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (5.19%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there are 2,909 people, 1,366 households, and 823 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,137.4 people per square mile (438.7/km²). There are 3,881 housing units at an average density of 1,517.5/sq mi (585.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 95.05% White, 0.83% African American, 1.20% Native American, 1.34% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.24% from other races, and 1.34% from two or more races. 0.86% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,366 households out of which 19.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.5% are married couples living together, 7.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 39.7% are non-families. 30.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.13 and the average family size is 2.60.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 16.9% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 27.8% from 45 to 64, and 20.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 99.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.4 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $34,875, and the median income for a family was $41,629. Males had a median income of $26,294 versus $20,488 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $18,209. About 11.5% of families and 14.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 17.2% of those under age 18 and 12.2% of those age 65 or over.
