Lafayette County High School

Lafayette County C-1 High School is located in Higginsville, Missouri, and serves the Higginsville, Corder, Aullville, and surrounding areas. As of 2005, Lafayette County C-1 High School had over 400 students, and 33 instructors. Lafayette County C-1 has earned distinctions in Ingram's Magazine out of Kansas City for being the top 15 schools in the Kansas City area in average ACT composite scores.
Lafayette County C-1's mascot is the Husker. Their colors are Blue and Gold. They currently participate in the Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC) with Boonville High School, Carrollton High School, Grain Valley High School, Knob Noster High School, Lexington High School, Oak Grove High School, Odessa High School, Pleasant Hill High School, and Richmond High School. They participate in Academic Competitions, NASA's Great Moonbuggy Race (in which they have excelled in), Boy's and Girl's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Football, Boy's and Girl's Track and Field, Boy's and Girl's Tennis (in which they have REALLY excelled in), Boy's Golf, Volleyball, Wrestling, and Speech and Debate. Between 50-65 percent of the school graduates enroll in some form of post-secondary education each year.
