Talk:Laetitia Zonzambé

This person is obviously a singer, but there is currently no actual information here. Needs real information soon, otherwise it is a useless article that doesn't need to be kept.

[edit] Restored comment
Laetitia Zonzambé IS the most known singer in a whole country. I dont see why the page shoule be deleted. If more info is required, say so, though most references are not available online given the underdeveloped nature of her country. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roger882 (talk • contribs)
Okay, firstly please always sign your comments. And in response to what you have said, well the article gave a statement that she was "widely believed" to be known, or whatever the word was, and this to me really requires a reference. If the statement had said she was a singer from the Central African Republic, then yes, the sources would have been able to back that statement up to the hilt. However, since her popularity appeared to be the main point, the references were useless by being put at a sentence about it. Therefore I removed the statements which didn't back up the comment, asked for either the references to be re-introduced to back up other statements or for the [only] statement to be, at the very least, re-written, and finally turned the article into a stub in the hope that interesting information would be added. And, I think, it has. And I didn't want to see it get deleted, but at the time there was no point in it.
P.S. Glad to see you are taking it upon yourself to flesh out the article, because the smallest articles always need the most work and time spent on them :)

[edit] Allegations
Frank3827, in the edit summary [1], you alleged that I removed references "re-inserted the references which had been deleted (why??) by User:EdCollins and added new ones, improved contents". Please could you be more specific. I don't think I have removed anything, but I may have done a mistake somewhere. More information needed. Thanks. --Edcolins 20:33, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I have no idea why he referenced you when he actually should have said me. Also, at the time, there was this single sentence "Laetitia Zonzambé is widely regarded as the top pop music star in the Central African Republic." supported by references that showed that, yes she was a singer, but didn't back up the view that she is "widely regarded as the top pop music star". So, in my defence, I removed the references, said that the references needed to support the statements, and made it into a stub. I mean, it had only just been saved from deletion, and according to a couple of talk pages, dubiously so, although I can't be bothered to work out what they mean as I am quite new to this world :) Anyway, I am pleased that this article has now at least been expanded. I'll put a link to this on the other place you have posted the comment.
