[edit] Do These Airlines Serve Lae?

I can't seem to find out whether these airlines actually serve Lae...If they do, could someone find a reference and please add them back into the article. Don't want to delete them completely.

  • Kiunga Aviation
  • North Coast Aviation (Bulolo, Finschhafen, Kabwum, Lablab, Omora, Satwag Wau, Yalumet)
They do .. see here. I will add them back into the article as well as MAF. Nomadtales 09:00, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikilinking destinations

Though I agree that it seems intiuitive to wikilink destinations, Wikipedia guidelines set by WikiProject Airports has desided that destinations in the list are not to be wikilinked. The reasoning for this is due to ease of readability. Guidelines set by WikiProjects are created to make a uniform look on all related pages. If you disagree with the guideline, please discuss it on the WikiProject. If you are interested in airports and aviation, I would encourage you to join WikiProject Aviation. I do disagree with this and think it is against wikipedia's over all appeal - the ability to navigate through articles by the wikilinks. I have already started a discussion on the Project page. If you think this policy is not intiuitive then add your support to the discussion. Nomadtales 08:46, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ICAO Code

Lae Nadzab Airport is shown as IATA Code LAE and ICAO Code AYNZ. But according to the ICAO list the ICAO code should be AYLA not AYNZ.

IATA Code MFO and ICAO Code AYNZ is for Nadzab Airport, Maguna ?? Hugo999 (talk) 04:23, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
I created this article back more than a year ago, and I cannot remember the source I used for the IATA and ICAO codes. If you find a reliable source that states a different code, then that is probably correct. I was making articles on multiple Papua New Guinea airports at the time, and I could have mixed up the different airport codes. Arsenikk (talk) 12:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
