[edit] Help please
{{helpme}} Can anyone tell me actually how to put my name on the Wiki Project Harry Potter list? It's a bit confusing. If anyone can help I would be very grateful. And can anyone give me any tips about how I can tidy up my user page? Thanks! Ladywitchthought (talk) 04:13, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
P.S. You know how it says type {{helpme}} and someone will come by? How does that work?
- Hello! To answer your first question, it is quite confusing, but here's what you need to do:
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of the edit box.
- Add this code just above the |}, supplying your own responses where indicated:
|- |{{User|Ladywitchthought}} | What do you intend to do in the project? | What House do you want to be in?
-
- Save the page.
- As for your second question, that's easy. When you add {{helpme}} to your talk page, it gets tossed in Category:Wikipedians looking for help, which users like me check regularly. The reason I came so quickly is because there is a bot in the irc channel #wikipedia-en-help that reported your need for assistance.
- Anyway, feel free to put up another helpme if you need more help, or leave me a note on my talk page. Happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 04:26, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
